Search Hub ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles user information.

1. Data Collection

The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or user information. All functionality operates locally within your browser. No data is sent to external servers.

When you choose a site from the menu, the selected text is sent only to that site, as part of its search link. The Extension itself never sends your data anywhere else.

2. Permissions

The Extension requires the following permissions for its core functionality, all of which operate locally:

• contextMenus: To add the Search Hub menu item to your right-click context menu.
• storage: To save your preferences (custom URLs, language, hidden sites). These are stored by your browser and, if Chrome Sync is enabled, synced by Google across your signed-in devices. The developer has no access to them.
• activeTab & scripting: To copy selected text to your clipboard when you choose an AI assistant.
• notifications: To show a brief confirmation when text is copied.

3. Third-Party Services

The Extension opens links to third-party websites (e.g., Google, YouTube, ChatGPT, Buy Me a Coffee) when you click on a menu item.

4. Data Security

Since no data is collected, there is no risk of your personal information being intercepted or misused by the Extension.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
